Bury Kitchens
Made 30 Minutes Away, Fitted by the People Who Made Them
Bury covers a very wide range in a small area. Radcliffe, Elton and the streets near the centre are dense Victorian terracing where the kitchen is usually a back room and space is the whole problem. Ramsbottom, Holcombe Brook, Summerseat and Greenmount are stone-built and considerably grander, often with high ceilings, large windows and rooms that were never laid out for a modern kitchen at all. Whitefield and Prestwich sit between the two, mostly solid inter-war semis where knocking the kitchen through into the dining room is the usual starting point.
In the bigger Ramsbottom and Holcombe properties the mistake we most often see is standard-height wall units in a room with a three-metre ceiling, which leaves a metre of dead wall above them and makes the whole kitchen look undersized. Because we build our own carcasses we can run the units up to where they should stop rather than where a catalogue says they stop.

I had an extension to my house and contacted Prestige Cabinets for my kitchens and fitted wardrobes. From the very first contact I made to arrange a visit to completing the installation of the kitchens and wardrobes, they have over exceeded expectations. During the extension, I had several contractors working on my house, but I can honestly say that Prestige Cabinets were simply the best in the positive experience I had, the quality of product and their professionalism. They were friendly, flexible and a pleasure to work with. Since my installation, I have recommended them to all my family and friends many of whom have used them and are equally impressed. This review is my way of thanking them for their work, craftsmanship and for providing the best customer service in my experience.

Common Questions
Questions We Get From Bury
Do you cover Ramsbottom and Prestwich as well as Bury itself?
Yes. We cover the whole borough, including Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe, Whitefield, Prestwich, Summerseat, Greenmount and Holcombe Brook.
My ceilings are very high. What do you do differently?
We build the tall units and wall units to suit the room instead of stopping at a standard height. It removes the strip of dead wall above the cupboards and gives you storage you can actually reach with a step.
Is it worth coming to Blackburn to see the factory?
Plenty of customers do, and it is about half an hour. It is a working factory rather than a showroom, so ring first and we will make sure someone is free to show you round.
